4. Who can join the PTA?
Anyone who wants to support the school can join — parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, staff, and even community members.
5. Do I have to volunteer if I join the PTA?
No. Membership supports the PTA just by joining. Volunteering is encouraged, but not required.
6. How much does it cost to join?
Membership dues vary by local unit, usually between $5–$15 annually. These dues help fund PTA programs and also support state and national PTA efforts.
7. What do PTA funds support?
Funds are used for student programs, classroom supplies, teacher appreciation, field trips, family events, educational assemblies, and more.
